“Praise God From Whom All Blessings Flow!”
Greetings in the wonderful Name of Jesus our Lord! We are so blessed! I just want to praise the Lord from whom all blessings flow! I feel like David when he lifted up his praises to the Lord and said, “Praise the LORD! Praise the name of the LORD; Praise Him, O you servants of the LORD! You who stand in the house of the LORD, In the courts of the house of our God, Praise the LORD, for the LORD is good; Sing praises to His name, for it is pleasant.” (Psalm 135:1-3). This is an exciting time for Immanuel because the Lord is doing great things!
Since we have started the new contemporary service our attendance in worship has almost doubled. Our Sunday School attendance has jumped 40%. We are planning new Sunday School classes. We are having to look at parking needs. I am even getting calls from other churches who are thinking seriously about starting a contemporary service of their own because they see the success we are having. With all of these exciting things happening, we also have some needs arising.
First, we need teachers to help us with our children’s Sunday School and extended session. Please call me (Pastor Willie), Cathy Gregory, or Jan Dillenbeck if you can help. As more and more young people are coming to Immanuel, the greater the need for help with our children’s ministries.
Second, we need your help with the parking. We have many seniors who are handicapped and/or are have breathing problems. These wonderful people need to walk the shortest distance possible, and if they cannot get a close parking spot, will not be able to come to church. I want to ask you, please, if you can park at the bottom of the hill and walk up the steps, please do so for these senior saints. If you are a senior and your health enables you to walk from the back of the parking lot, that would be a great blessing if you would park there. Also, we have lots of visitors who need to park in the visitor parking. If you are a member or have been attending a long time, please use the regular parking spaces.
Last, we need help in the area of finances. Because of the loss of so many faithful saints who have gone home to be with the Lord, we are falling short in being able to pay the bills. If you are a Christian, you know that the Lord wants you to be faithful in your tithe and offerings. With all of these exciting things happening, we need to be faithful to our Lord! Please give out of the abundance that God has blessed you with.
Please pray about all of these needs.

“If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven,
and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
II Chronicles 7:14
W. A. McLellan, Baptist Men’s Director, would like to remind the men and ladies of Immanuel that the Prayer Breakfast for the month of May will be a special time of celebration with a delicious meal, fellowship time together, and a devotional message given by Guest Speaker Wilma Hill. This Prayer Breakfast is a time each year when the men enjoy having the ladies as their special guests!! Immanuel has been blessed so abundantly, and we thank God for giving us special holidays such as “Mother’s Day”.
