“IN REMEMBRANCE”

“Take, eat, and be comforted, Drink, and remember, too, that this is My body and precious blood shed for you.  In remembrance of Me, search for truth.  In remembrance of Me, always love.  In remembrance of Me, don’t look above, but in your heart, look in your heart for God.”

A WORD FROM WILLIE

“God Is Up To Something At Immanuel”

Greetings in the great and awesome name of Jesus to the precious people of Immanuel!  Immanuel… That name means “God With Us” And His presence is very evident especially now.  I believe that God is doing so many wonderful things in the life of this body of believers.  You may be saying “I don’t see anything.” Let me tell you something, my friend, if you don’t see God’s Hand upon Immanuel, it is because you are either not tuned into the Spirit or you don’t want to because God is at work around us.

In Henry Blackaby’s book “Experiencing God”, he shares with us that we need to always assume that God is at work.  God is revealing some awesome spiritual truths to us right now.  We don’t need to simply treat it as a devotional thought to make us feel better through the day. Ask Him to help you take what you are hearing and connect it with what you see happening around you.

Immediately look to see what He wants you to do with what He has said. Once you join God in what He is doing, you will experience Him accomplishing His activity through your life--in ways you have never known before.  Ask God to reveal to you what He is doing here at Immanuel and jump on board.

Jesus always knew what to do throughout His life, because He was always looking to see what the Father was doing. Whatever the Father did, the Son did. If Christ Himself was that dependent on the Father, think how dependent we should be on God the Father working in and through us. Jesus said in John 14:10 “The words I speak to you I do not speak on My own. The Father who lives in Me does His works.”

ANTICIPATE that God will start working with you. In the Scriptures, God usually came to people right in the middle of their ordinary routine, right as they were doing the last thing they knew to do. You do not need to be doing anything special for God to use you. Simply be willing to submit to Him at any time, at a moment's notice.

You never find God asking people to dream up what they want to do for Him. The pattern in the Scripture looks like this: You submit yourself to God, and you wait until He shows you what He is about to do.  Unless God allows you to see where He is working, you will not see it. You can involve yourself in doing good things, but you may miss the work that God intended you to do. The servant doesn't tell the Master what kind of assignment he needs. Instead, he waits on his Master to give him the assignment.

MAKE IT YOUR REALITY TODAY!  Can you see that God is at work here in Immanuel? Invite God to initiate His work in you any time He chooses. Start by loving Him, and then be listening for Him.   In Christ Jesus Forever,
   Pastor Willie
