“Praise the LORD for a Church with a Vision!”
One of the ways that the members of Immanuel have agreed overwhelmingly to reach others is by starting a new worship service that meets the needs of those who like a more contemporary worship style. That is why we are providing choices that will make a real focus on God during worship for you as well as people who are not yet members. We will soon have two Sunday morning worship services:
Our New 9 A.M. Contemporary Worship Service Begins Easter. Our contemporary service will be designed using music and sounds of today that people can relate to and understand and use that music to lead people to a more intimate walk with the Lord. We will sing mostly choruses and praise songs. The instruments that we will use are: guitars, keyboards, drums, and other musical instruments. The contemporary service will be led by a worship leader along with a praise team and praise band. In this service the Word of God will be preached in its fullness and power and relevant for daily living.
Our 11 A.M. Blended Worship Service. Our blended worship service is designed using music and sounds of the past and present for people with a more traditional background with the same purpose of using the music to lead people to a more intimate walk with the Lord. We sing a blend of choruses, hymns and praise songs. The instruments used are: piano, organ, keyboards, and other musical instruments. This blended service is led by a worship leader along with a praise team and choir. In this service also, the Word of God is preached in its fullness and power and relevant for daily living.
Remember what Paul said in 1 Corinthians 9:19-23 “Although I am
free in regard to all, I have made myself a slave to all so as to win over
as many as possible. 20 To the Jews I became like a Jew to win over Jews;
to those under the law I became like one under the law--though I myself
am not under the law--to win over those under the law. 21 To those outside
the law I became like one outside the law--though I am not outside God's
law but within the law of Christ—to win over those outside the law.
22 To the weak I became weak, to win over the weak. I have become all
things to all, to save at least some. 23 All this I do for the sake of
the gospel, so that I too may have a share in it.” I, too, do all this
for the sake of the gospel and I praise God that this church has that kind
of a vision to reach the lost!
