AN OPEN LETTER FROM
EMILY GAMBLE

                                                                   May 9, 2005

Friends and Family,

The Lord promises that He will forever guide and direct us in our paths if we promise to remain true to Him.  Sometimes those paths require us to do things that we do not want to do nor are we sure of what will happen as a result of these actions.  Resigning as Minister of Children and Youth is one of those times for me.  It is a decision that I have been torn with for months.  I have prayed for God’s guidance and direction in my life and have felt the pull that I was needed elsewhere.  Wanting to remain here at Immanuel, I tried to ignore those signs.  But, while leading the youth Bible Study entitled, “Following God’s Will”, I knew that I needed to fully surrender to whatever He desired for me to do.

My time here at Immanuel has been full of love and encouragement from church members, staff, parents, and everyone else who makes up this church family.  I am sad to leave but eager to begin this incredible journey the Lord has called me.  Please be in prayer for the new Children and Youth Minister and the students as they begin their summer activities.

Also, be praying for me as I continue to seek out God’s will for my life and what He is calling me to do.  Immanuel will forever hold a place in my heart.  I have learned what true Christian fellowship is all about and what it means to be a church for the whole family.  Thank you for all your love and support during my time here.  I will miss each and every one of you.  I look forward to seeing what God is going to do here at Immanuel and the amazing plan that He has sculpted for this church.

                                                 Love,

                                                 Emily Gamble

MEMORIAL DAY
Office Closed - Staff Holiday

Memorial Day is a sacred day in American history, a day when we as individuals and as a nation honor the memory of those loyal sons and daughters who went forth and fought and bled and died for our great nation.  They espoused the cause of righteousness and justice that they might obtain and assure freedom and liberty to the oppressed.  Their bravery, courage, hardships, self-denial, and their supreme sacrifice and death cannot be too often retold.  We salute those who have fought and died for our freedom, and may their memory be treasured.

APPRECIATION

To All Our Church Family,
Our sincere thanks goes out to you for all the telephone calls, cards, prayers, and visits during my illness.  God sure performed a miracle in my life by allowing the doctors to find and correct the blockage in my carotid artery before I had a stroke.
                                                     God still answers prayers!
