“Make Every Effort To VOTE!”

A special message from Pastor Willie:

I want to tell you that I am very concerned about the direction that our nation is going.  We have gone from being a nation where marriage (Husband [Man] and a Wife [Woman]) was the primary and celebrated institution of this great nation.  Now we have no real definition of marriage as hundreds of thousands of children every year are not even allowed to take there first breath because of the holocaust of abortion.

It is my conviction that we are standing on the precipice of moral destruction of this great nation.  Dr. James Dobson said “I'm sure you recognize that, as a nation, we are standing at a crossroads. Our society's moral decline has accelerated at an alarming rate in recent years, and if trends continue, the America that you and I know and love will cease to exist. Issues critical to the future of the traditional family - abortion rights and same-sex marriage being chief among them - will be influenced by the values of our next president and his cabinet. Judicial appointments made by the president can significantly impact our culture for decades. If we are to salvage the beliefs and principles upon which our forefathers founded this nation, we must make our voices heard in the public square.”

The importance of the November election cannot be overstated. Even among registered Christian voters, turnout in recent elections has been disappointingly low. In the razor-thin election of 2000, for example, four million evangelicals failed to show up at the polls. Every Christian should cast a vote on November 2nd because it is our biblical responsibility to vote. In Old Testament times, God’s people were told to “ select out of all the people able men who fear God, men of truth, those who hate dishonest gain; and you shall place these over them as leaders.” (Exodus 18:21 NASB). Secondly, it is a right and a privilege. In America, we have the freedom to help direct the course of our country by voting for the men and women who will lead us. And finally, our nation depends upon it. Your vote counts. It is the lifeblood of democracy. And as we face critical issues, we must all do our part in choosing a leader of values, of strong character, and of faith. The future of your children and grandchildren is at stake.

Vote ONLY for those candidates who uphold BIBLICAL standards. considering what is happening in our culture today in America, I encourage you to speak out for godly families. Your voice for God and the family needs to be heard loud and clear at the polls on November 2!

                   Make Every Effort To VOTE!

                                     In Christ Jesus Forever,
                                     Pastor Willie

Dear Church Family,
Thank you so much for the kindness and Christian love that you showed us after the passing of my mother.  The meals, the memorable gifts, cards, and many words of encouragement have meant so much to our family in this difficult time.  Your love and prayers have shown that Immanuel is a very special place.  It is such a blessing to be part of this church family.

Tom and Roni Pittman, along with their son Luke Pittman, were received into the membership of Immanuel Church on Sunday, September 26, 2004, by letter (Nos. 1, 2, 3) from Valley Creek Church, Flower Mound, TX.

Praise God for Immanuel Baptist Church, Pastor Willie, Miss Emily, and the office staff.  What a loving congregation we have; a congregation that not only loves God deeply, but also loves each other.
Betty and I were humbled by the love that was displayed for us this past Sunday evening.  We pray that this love relationship will never diminish, but will continue to grow stronger.  We also thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the spirit filled service and the wonderful fellowship that followed.  A special thank you to all the wonderful ladies for all the good food.
May God continue to pour out His blessings on Immanuel Baptist Church.  I pray that our light will shine on this hill top, to such an extent that all who see it will long for a love relationship with God and Immanuel Baptist Church.
In Christ’s Love, Harold and Betty Fields
