“Three, Two, One...Ignite The Flame of the Church!”

Greetings in the Name which is above every name, the Name of Jesus our Lord and Savior!!! I want to begin this letter to you with some inspiring words from God’s Holy Word that will encourage us to excellence.  Acts 2:1-4a “Seven weeks after Jesus’ resurrection, the believers were meeting together in one place. 2 Suddenly, there was a sound from heaven like the roaring of a mighty windstorm in the skies above them, and it filled the house where they were meeting. 3 Then, what looked like flames or tongues of fire appeared and settled on each of them. 4 And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit…”

As the song goes…“I can here the sound of a mighty rushing wind. And it is closer now than it’s ever been.”  I believe that the Lord desires to ignite the Church as a bright and powerful flame.  As we prepare ourselves for revival which begins this Sunday, we need to pray! Pray! Pray! for a real Holy Ghost sent revival! Pray for David Spears, that God would fill him with His Spirit as he delivers God’s Holy Word.  Pray that hearts will we willing to receive and to use this power to glorify God and His  Kingdom by winning the lost to Jesus.

In my morning messages, I have talked about Christian fellowship, mobilizing for ministry, and the urgency of the moment.  Last Sunday I asked you this question…“Do you think God will send revival if His people don’t really want it, and are not preparing themselves for God’s Spirit to be poured down upon this place?”  In Acts 2:1-4 the disciples “were meeting together in one place” waiting for the promise of their Lord that He would send to them the Holy Spirit  and “when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, you will receive power and will tell people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1:8)

Let me ask you a question, are you ready for revival?  Are you expecting revival?  What are you doing personally to prepare yourself for an outpouring of God’s Holy Spirit upon this place? Have you been praying for this church?  Yourself? Your family, your friends?

This Sunday morning is High Attendance Sunday. Are you going to make every effort to be in Sunday School?  Have you invited anyone yet?  Please make a commitment to the Lord that you will do your best to be in Sunday School and the services and that you will bring at least one person who can hear the Good News of God’s Redeeming Love!

Thank you, and may God bless you!

                                                 Pastor Willie

Like the power of electricity,
faith is believing what we do not see.
When faith guides our steps,
life is easier.

“Now faith is being sure of what
we hope for and certain of what
we do not see.”
Hebrews 11:1
