And He [Jesus]
took bread, gave thanks
and broke it,
and gave it to them, saying,
“This is my body given for you;

A WORD FROM WILLIE
 “Hallelujah!  Post Anniversary Report”

               Hallelujah! What a Savior and what an Anniversary Sunday!  Greetings in the Name which is above every Name!  In that precious Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ I say it is great to talk with you after such a great and exciting Sunday.

               First, I want to thank you for your attendance at out 95th Anniversary Sunday Celebration.  We saw so many wonderful friends, and family members who have been, at one time or another, members of Immanuel Baptist Church.  I think there were as many visitors as there were current members.  I heard so many people say that they are excited about what God is doing at Immanuel.  They loved what we have done with the New Welcome Center.  One of the things I also heard was how friendly the people of Immanuel are.  I would tell them that the members of Immanuel are the friendliest of any church that I have had the privilege to pastor.  It is truly a blessing for us to have such a warm and caring fellowship.

              Second, I want to thank everyone who participated in the worship service.  As you saw, we have wonderful and gifted people who are not afraid to use the gifts and abilities that God has given them for the Lord’s Glory.  Thanks to Gerald Frederick, the soloists, the Choir, the instrumentalists, sound/video crew, and ushers for making this service one that will be remembered for years to come.

                Last, I want to thank Lois Gainey, her crew, and all of you who prepared dishes for our fellowship meal that followed the worship service.  I had built up to my brother the wonderful southern cooking and how much food there would be that he said, “I hope I won’t be disappointed.”  After he and his wife tasted all that wonderful food, he told me I was not making it up and that he loved the food and fellowship.  He said he almost felt like a celebrity with all the people who came up to him and his wife as you showed what Immanuel hospitality is all about.

               Hallelujah, what a Savior, what a Church, and what a family!!!  Thanks again for following the Lord’s leadership and allowing me to be your pastor!!!
                                        In Christ Jesus Forever,
                                        Pastor Willie
